Many go into the mountains to seek either calm or adrenaline, but for me it’s perhaps mostly about the overwhelming impressions the mountains give. When I’m in a valley or on a ridge with big mountains in every direction, I become completely absorbed in the whole experience.

The mountains are so old and massive that my problems become almost laughably insignificant in that context. It’s a rather comforting reminder."
